Foreign Experiences
2000-2002 Visiting Scientist at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, USA, to study the mechanisms of atherogenesis and the reverse cholesterol transport (RCT).
2007 Invited by Prof. G. Rothblat at J. Stokes Jr. Research Institute at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to give scientific seminar on „Lipoprotein acceptors and cellular cholesterol efflux: insights from genetic HDL disorders“.
Research Interest
Physiology and pharmacology of atherosclerosis and cholesterol metabolism with particularly interest to cellular cholesterol efflux processes. Prof. Favari has an experience in evaluating cholesterol metabolic processes at cellular level and serum cholesterol efflux capacity as a new marker of cardiovascular risk. She provided different contributions to the elucidation of the process of reverse cholesterol transport.
Prof. Favari published 45 articles in peer-reviewed journals. H-index: 18 (Web Of Science/Scopus) and G-index: 29.
