MIGHTY MEDIC – Foundation act
1 A new scientific working group has been established with the nameMultidisciplinary International Group for Hemapheresis Therapy and Metabolic Disturbances Contrast / Acronym: MIGHTY MEDIC;
2 The working Group will be automatically extended to all people currently in charge of the Operative units. However, all colleagues are kindly asked to send a brief written confirmation of approval upon receiving this letter (for example: “I will participate” including your name and surname);
3 The Group is open not only to extracorporeal experts but also to Internists, Diabetologists, Endocrinologists, Cardiologists, Radiologists, and other specializations etc, as with the Lipidclub & Therapeutic Apheresis aims and objectives;
4 The group is open to participation of European and non European colleagues and their centers;
5 The Group will be supported in its Scientific initiatives and continual formation by Medical Device and Pharmaceutical companies and, where possible, by research ‘grants’ conferred by public and private organizations;
6 The Group will produce a ‘survey’ throughout the year with the logistic support of a Pharmaceutical company;
7 The Group’s website will be modified and adapted by our Webmaster, Dr. Andrea Petta. The surveys will be electronic. Questionnaires will not be utilized;
8 The Scientific and educational initiatives of Group members are ‘Free’ and can be extended to other members; we could consider having working groups which are monothematic and coordinated by a Sub-Coordinator; the Coordination however must be informed, not only out of respect for all but also in order to be able to produce informative notes for all Members, and for the recognition of the affiliation with MIGHTY MEDIC. Awaiting that the project/event is compatible with the institutional finality of MIGHTY MEDIC, also under the profile of judicial responsibility of the Group, with the right to exclusivity of its name, and also protecting its good name, public image and national and international Scientific reputation of Coordination and of the people in charge of the Operative Units;
9 Initiatives which damage or impair the Group’s image of a National and International projection may NOT be conducted; the Coordination is at the disposal of its Members for the call for application in English, and for research projects and/or training events, in order to demonstrate in the English language the initiatives of each single Member or of Members associated with the monothematic working Group;
10 Papers or any Work published by the Group report the names of the Members who ‘actively’ participate in research initiatives only; this is valid also for the ‘team’ that runs the Coordination and the Coordination in particular (no activity=no name!) and further, to competition in obtaining research funds in common projects;
11 The Group is open to ‘non profit’ legal representation of Scientific companies and public and private organizations;
12 The first Group Meeting will be in Genova for the occasion of the 8th Edition ofLipidclub & Therapeutic Apheresis on the 7th and 8th June 2013; the Coordination will be at your disposal so that all members of MIGHTY MEDIC who wish to participate, will be able to do so;
